SafeHaven Privacy Policy
Last updated: [Date]
This policy describes how SafeHaven (“we,” “our,” “the app”) collects, uses, and protects information.
Information We Collect
- Account information: email address, password (encrypted), and profile details you provide.
- Accountability contact information: the name and phone number of any accountability contact you add, along with your confirmation that you have their permission to text them.
- Protection settings: the content filtering categories and custom blocklists you configure.
- Activity logs: records of blocked content attempts, protection status changes, and related account activity, used solely to operate the accountability notification feature described in our SMS Consent & Notifications Policy.
How We Use Information
We use the information above only to operate SafeHaven’s core features: enforcing your content filtering settings and sending accountability notifications to the contacts you’ve added. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Third-Party Services
We rely on the following third-party services to operate SafeHaven:
- Twilio, to deliver SMS text messages.
- Supabase, to store account and app data securely.
These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually restricted from using it for their own purposes.
Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at [support email].
Your Choices
- Accountability contacts may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP (see our SMS Consent & Notifications Policy).
- You may update or remove accountability contacts, and change your protection settings, at any time within the app.
